Good Overview

Great book with very useful diagrams. I used it to prepare for the Optometry Boards Part1. It is not the most detailed but it's a great start to get a general overview of anatomy and histology.

A "Must Have" for any 1st yr OD student!

I used this text heavily as a first year optometry student. The illustrations alone are worth the cost of the book. The combination of simple schematic diagrams and detailed artistic impressions of 3D structures such as the anterior chamber angle is perfect for gaining a "mental image" of what the eye looks like on all levels. I Highly recommend this book for 1st year students and those studying for NBEO.

Great resource!

This book is a great resource for the anatomy of the eye and is an easy read, not too overwhelming to begin reading. It is organized by each structure within the eye and gives concrete facts and numbers about thickness, fiber sizes, etc. Pictures are helpful, and include color histology slides with pictorial representations as well. "Clinical comments" are included in the text to help make the anatomy reading more clinically relevant.
