He developed the ROI MethodologyT, a revolutionary process that provides bottom-line figures and accountability for all types of training, performance improvement, human resources and technology programs and is used worldwide by corporations, governments and non-profit organizations. His expertise in measurement and evaluation is based on nearly thirty years of corporate experience in five industries. He has served as training and development manager at two Fortune 500 firms, senior HR officer at two firms, president of a regional federal savings bank, and management professor at a major state university. Phillips is the author or editor of more than 30 books and more than 100 articles.

Adele Connell, Ph.D. has had a successful career working in and consulting for large organizations in both public and private sectors. Her expertise includes financial services, insurance, call centers, leadership, quality management, training and human resource development. ORganizations she has worked with range from General Motors and Ford, to NASA, the Internal Revenue Service, Dept. of the Navy, Boeing, and Martin-Marietta. About the Author
Moorad Choudhry is Chief Executive Officer, Habib Bank Zurich PLC in London, and Visiting Professor at the Department of Mathematical Sciences, Brunel University. Prior to joining RBS, he was a bond trader and structured finance repo trader at KBC Financial Products, ABN Amro Hoare Govett Limited and Hambros Bank Limited. He has a PhD from Birkbeck, University of London and an MBA from Henley Business School. Moorad lives in Surrey, England.

The new bond market learning benchmark

The trainer at a fixed income course I attended recently recommended that we all buy this book. He said "it's expensive but well worth it". He wasn't kidding - this book is worth every penny. I reckon it's set to be the standard reference work for anyone working in the bond and money markets. Since I bought it, everyone in my department has borrowed it at one time or another, to look things up, refresh their memory or learn something new. It's brilliant, and written in a way that is easy to follow. I understood swaps and credit derivatives straight away, and the section on value-at-risk was very accessible. I also found the examples and illustrations very helpful. A great effort. I suspect that it took so long for the author to write that by the time he finished it, chapter 1 was already a few years old, some of the market statistics date from 1998 or 1999. But that's a minor point, this book has everything you would want to know about the markets, and has to be my best purchase on the subject ever. Nice job, well done. The only book you need on bonds and derivatives

This is a truly impressive work and a great reference. Even market experts will find something of value here, it takes the reader from first principles to some very complex subjects, all explained in very acccessible fashion. Every topic connected with the debt capital markets is covered, ranging from bonds, interest-rate derivatives, money markets, credit derivatives, yield curve analysis, structured products, CDOs, everything. It is also very well written, like having your own private tutor and market expert delivering a lecture on the markets. It is well worth the money I paid for it, and I recommend it to anyone who needs to know about bonds, derivatives and market analysis. This book is streets ahead of all the competition, no author I have come across, in over 20 years of experience in the markets, comes close to writing like Choudhry does. jrasheed2000@yahoo.co.uk

Set to be THE leading bond market reference: impressive

This is an impressive work, the encyclopaedia of the bond markets. It takes the reader from the very basics to advanced fixed income analytics, leaving nothing out. Just about every subject, from basics of financial maths, duration and so on to yield curve hypotheses, interest rate derivatives, portfolio management and so on, it's all here. About the Author
Mark is an Australian Physiotherapy Association titled Sport Physiotherapist, a Fellow of the Australian Sports Medicine Federation, and also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.
He is currently the Executive Officer of the Sports Medicine Australia Queensland Branch, and also holds adjunct academic positions as Associate Professor in the Griffith Health Institute at Griffith University and Assistant Professor of Physiotherapy in the School of Health Sciences and Medicine at Bond University.
His previous positions include the Executive Director of the Australian Physiotherapy Association New South Wales Branch and the Director of Physiotherapy for the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Mark’s international sports event experience as a Sports Physiotherapist also includes the Athens 2004 Olympic Games, the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games and the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games, as well as numerous other national and international events.

Malcom Barnes is a professional engineer with over thirty-five years' experience specialising in automation, switchgear and process control equipment. He is a director of Automated Control Systems based in Perth, Western Australia. Malcom has presented numerous courses in automation and variable speed drives throughout the world.

over priced!

the Kindle version of this book is way over priced for what you get. It would be much cheaper to do a google search on the subject. MIL-STD and other government technical docs, that you can download for free, are much better.

About the Author
Since 1961, Dr Dimitris N. Chorafas has advised financial institutions and industrial corporations in strategic planning, risk management, computers and communications systems, and internal controls. A graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, the University of Paris, and the Technical University of Athens, Dr Chorafas has been a Fulbright scholar. Financial institutions which have sought his assistance include the Union Bank of Switzerland, Bank Vontobel, CEDEL, the Bank of Scotland, Credit Agricole, Österreichische Länderbank (Bank Austria), First Austrian Bank, Commerzbank, Dresdner Bank, Mid-Med Bank, Demir Bank, Banca Nazionale dell'Agricoltura, Istituto Bancario Italiano, Credito Commerciale and Banca Provinciale Lombarda. Among multinational corporations Dr Chorafas has worked as consultant to top management, are: General Electric-Bull, Univac, Honeywell, Digital Equipment Corp, Olivetti, Nestlé, Omega, Italcementi, Italmobiliare, AEG-Telefunken, Olympia, Osram, Antar, Pechiney, the American Management Association and host of other client firms in Europe and the United States. Dr Chorafas has served on the faculty of the Catholic University of America and as visiting professor at Washington State University, George Washington University, University of Vermont, University of Florida, and Georgia Institute of Technology. Also, the University of Alberta, Ecole d'Etudes Industrielles de l'Université de Genève, and Technical University of Karlsruhe. More than 6,000 banking, industrial and government executives have participated in his seminars in the United States, England, Germany, other European countries, Asia and Latin America.
